Looking for a bit of advice. Our Physio has recommended we feed hay on the floor during winter. However our horse usually has her hay double netted as she is a very quick eater. Does anyone have any good ideas of how to feed from the ground but limit in take so she doesn't run out of hay in the first hour of being in?
She had laminitis last year so will be on restricted amounts and soaked.
Any ideas welcome!

I have seen somewhere a haynet type thing which was stretched over feed on the floor - might be worth googling, but not something I have done before.

Physios always advise this and it is good advice UNLESS there is an overriding reason not to as with your pony. Continue using your haynets to trickle feed perhaps altering the height of the nets so the same muscles are not being loaded as she tears at her net.

I use a haybar and have a tie ring low down in it, but I know some people just have a small holed net that's tied and left to roll around. This slows down eating rather than just free access to the rations!!!
