RE Question on Grey Cob boy with brown boots, If this cob competes at county it is un sportsman like to compete at local level wether its home produced or not. But it was a bay that won the cob class anyway.

But it was a bay that won the cob class anyway. Yes that was the home produced class. The grey won the Novice Cobs in the morning. Its all down to pot hunting at the end of the day. It would seem that people these days don't classes in the spirit which they are intended.

this is the boy with the grey cob. Firstly he is eligable to do the novice classes as it is his 1st year of county showing and he hasnt won yet on the county circuit. Secondly my instructor rides him at county level as i am too young by 3 months so i have to wait until next year. she dosnt recive any financial gain from this. i have him on my own yard and i look after him on my own with no help. i find it disapointing that i put effort in and get the results that i deserve and then get bit*hed about. he will be going to the puk finals as he is eligable. hope this has cleared things up 4 you all, not that its any of your buissnes.

just to clear things up- i am the boy who rides the grey cob my name is ben meadows. he is eligable for the novices as its his frist year of county showing and he hasnt won yet. as to my riding instructor she rides him only at county and she recives no financial gain as she is a close family friend. he wil be going to the finals. i look after him on my own yard of two horses and i dont recive help from anyone as i am from a non horsey background. i find it disapointing that i put the effort in and get the results i hope for and get bit*hed about. belive me its not easy at 15 looking after a horse on your own. hope this clears things up not that its anyones buissnes. thanks to every 1 that stuck up for me x

Busy Busy weekend for us, as well as having our tradestand there all weekend and staying over, i must have been mad and decided to take four ponies over the weekend too - i now know the journey between home and showground blindfold ! Worth it tho - my son and i were 2nd and 3 rd in the open Glyn Greenwood class with my highland and his shetland , a bit of rivalry going on as the judges couldnt decide and came back for a final look. Very pleased with both boys especially as the shettie is proving he can more than hold his own in open classes. My sec B won the dun/roan class - Well done to Alice and Jack We spent a lovely sat evening on the showground with the stall, when my lot and all the other competitors had gone home eating chinese and watching the hot air balloons take off with a glass or two of wine in our hands. Perfect

I am not sure of all the "ins and outs" of this situation but as long as you are happy that all is in order that is all that matters, I think you have come across in a fantastic way , and it is a shame for anyone, let alone someone your age to have to read what has been posted on here and justify themselves, I would be horrified if it was my daughter. I wish you the best of luck with your horse and remember its usually only when people are worried you're better than them that they react like this!

Absolutely right Ben - if they didn't think you were capable of beating them, they wouldn't be on here trying to find reasons why you shouldn't be in their class! Take it as a compliment to your cob and your riding, you're obviously good enough to have them rattled.
Well done on your win and the dignified manner in which you have conducted yourself on here.
