Absolutely brilliant! Dryknowl Ennar picks up his Olympia ticket at Wessex NPS. Most would be satisfied at winning the in hand mare or gelding class at one of the country's biggest Shows, the South of England (2days ago) but no, on the following day again at South of England, Elizabeth Evans gave the pony an imperious ride to collect a HOYS ticket and then today Sunday, off to Wessex NPS in the New Forest to collect his Olympia ticket from judge Mrs Nimmo. Owners Peter & Leonie Sellars will be delighted. Lynda, congratulations, you should have next year 'off' as well!

Thank goodness a less facey pony won today. The Olympia and HOYS classes were starting to get extremely boring. Well done Tweetie Nimmo for pulling some slightly lesser known ponies. There are so many good new animals out there who aren't being given a chance because they are not ridden by a "who's who" jockey and this was obvious at South of England yesterday when only the local competitors and nPS faces got a look in.
Please judges be brave and look at the ponies not the rider or who comes into the ring to groom. Make the competition more interesting and give credit where it is due. We need to encourage people to show, not give up.

The pony lives close to Ardingly so a couple of trips were no more than average pe-show exercise and the trip to the New Forest is a motorway run. The weather has been sunny but with a cool breeze and this pony looks extremely fit. More people have travelled their ponies further and already this season have competed at two shows in one day. Ernie has his tickets and can now be selectively shown. Don't be jealous, try to enjoy the success of others.

Are you mad. these were fulsome and heartfelt congratulations to a close friend. how dare you, i couldn't be more delighted at lynda's success, and ELIZABETH OF COURSE. MY REMARKS about being 'satisfied' were meant tongue in cheek, to emphasise what a fantastic weekend's results the pony had enjoyed.

I also read it as a genuine and nice comment, don't know how it could be read otherwise. You actually rather spoilt the compliment with that attack.

Well done regardless though!
