I thought Bobby Brights pony was a well deserved champion, It did'nt put a foot wrong in the championship and if that was the judges favourite pony in there then there was no reason for it not to be champion.
Big well done to Ollie Burchall in the lead rein and Pendock Pennyworth went beautifully to win the first ridden.
Big well done too to Little Harriet Carver on our old pony Dwee Calypso for winning the NPS open first ridden and being champion and then Reserve Mini Supreme. Her first sash off the lead rein....Fab!
Thanks to everyone for their congratulations on our Supreme, I was very proud of Georgia and Monty.

The committee of NPS Area 20 would like to thank the many competitors for their kind comments and the judges and stewards who worked so tirelessly in the heat. We apologise for the short problem with the PA System and hope you were not inconvenienced too much when one of the judges went AWOL. All in all we had a very successful show and hope you guys did too comments and suggestions for 2010 gratefully received.

We had a super day, we enjoyed the show probably the best ever for us, not neccesarily results wise, but atmosphere and general all round good vibe-ness. The disappearance of the judge in question was a bit of a sore point as the classes began to run really late, but the change of judge gave us a cracking result at our first ever time contesting that type of class, so no complaints there. The only two things that rankled, neither anything to do with area 20, but if the people concerned do use this website - take note - in the sport pony/horse championship I was cut up not once, but twice by the person who eventually came out champion, a word from the wise, you have very bad manners, to do it once is forgivable, twice seems like an agenda - or perhaps just try to remember you are not the only person in the ring. I also find it a bit hard to understand how so many people can fail to read the note on the schedule that stables are to be mucked out after use, when we left at 5pm on Saturday afternoon, not one of the vacated stables had been skepped out, beds brushed back, NOTHING. I dont want to lose the privilege of having a stable for the night just because others cant be arsed to skep out. As an area 20 member, I will be suggesting that a deposit is left on boxes and returned when they have been found to be clean.

I left the showground at 3p.m. and I DID skip out my stable! I would have considered it very rude not to have done so. I admit that I wasn't able to brush the shavings back as I had stupidly forgotten my broom, but I scraped them back as much as I was able. So, armada, you checked every single stable did you? I think not.

We often have to leave "clean stable" deposits at overnight dressage/event competions of between £10 & £20 a stable also at the Hunter show we have to do the same! You have made a very valid point, obviously the basic stablemangement has gone out the window! There was a time when you never ever left a pile of droppings in your stable! If we had done that when we where young the yard owner would have had a fit and docked our wages! Standards are not as they used to be that's for sure! As for cutting up! I totally agree, there seems to be no awarenes of school rules i.e. passing left to left, the slower pace should leave the track free etc... not that this applies to the show ring it's self, but I often see and have it done to myself those who are constantly seeking the judges attention, riding their own lines!!! Of course we all want to the judge to see us, but come on if everyone rode in their own space (the rings at Area 20 are certainly roomy enough!) then there would be less accidents! (hickstead for example!!!)

I watched the In Hand class in question. The girl leading the horse who eventually went champion DID NOT cut up any of the other competitors. On the contary, the horse in question was only recently gelded therefore she was being super careful and circled away to make sure everyone was safe in this arena. She certainly had no agenda!
