Cashelbay Joe qualified today for olympia. Im so proud he is doing so well for his new mum, it so hard to sell a pony but is made easier when they have a wonderful home. We wish him the best of luck for the final.

if shem keeps trawling the country at this rate he could qualify for air miles.... Not the only one though is it, what with Lincoln, Cheshire, NPS Area 20, Highland, Hickstead and The Northern.

to some people ponies are not ponies they are rosette machines and dragging them around the country should be a welfare concern!!

Its even more of a concern when a pony has its ticket and is still dragged around the country

yes it is pretty appaling, but why should people give a toss, as long as they are getting their bits of ribbon!!!! why does the ponies welfare matter?

I don't think he was at the Highland & the Northern as they were both on the same day ,unless they put him in a helicopter. He was definitely at the Northern as on results on HH.

if shem keeps trawling the country at this rate he could qualify for air miles.... i've just come on this thread to see the bit*hing about shem. i would like to say that i have seen shem and his jockey out at shows in the past and a nicer person and better looked after pony you couldn't find. also i believe that he has had a busy week but has not been out much this year, only to the main qualifiers. some ponies have been going all winter and i know that jonny stevens is certainly not one to take a pony out too much. shem is a well cared for mature stallion who is saved for the bigger shows. why all the nastiness? is there another issue here?

I dont think anyone intends to bit*h about Jonathan Stevens or Shem. I personally, agree that it is unncessary that this pony has gone from the Cheshire Show to Lincoln, made the mammouth journey to Northern Ireland and Back to the Northern (IF in fact it did go there). Its extremely hard on any animal to spend that long in a lorry in hot weather. I hope he's out in a field this week having a deserved rest.

Hi the photographer for this show was www.prime-photography.com - the photographs are in the section Marked NPS Knockaview, some real fab photos of the day We were competing in the class against Rhosen Shem but a dog came into the ring in the middle of my show and i fell off so that threw my chances out the window but somehow he managed to win his Silver Medal class and went supreme of the show so suppose it ended up ok
