John Carter's B broodmare won the supreme in hand. Gorgeous mare and very well deserved. Entries very poor in ridden classes. Didn't stay till the end, but know that Willoway Calender Girl won the D Open ridden. Big entries in A in hand, poor in C and D in hand. Connections with the D stallion VERY loud, and had a plastic container with stones in it to rattle. Parking now miles away, many complaining about it.

entries were poor for all sections, one stallion forward for each section, none for the section A, 2 classes with no entries in the D's, I remember when you'd get two rows forward in the A's, with about 10 in a row, lots of classes with one in, a sign of the times I'm afraid, 3 in a class seems quite common these days. Shame about Bicton, so much has changed there, there were hardly any spectators/supporters at ringside, as the lorry park was a long way away, but i know the area association are addressing it. have to say the cob stallion was particularly nice, and i dont blame the owners for cheering when he took the medal.

Where did the lorries park? Do you think entries would be better if the date went back to being the day after area 25?

I dont think it would make a big difference to entries, though the date does need to be changed as the Cornish breed show was the day before, this is also a Welsh medal show so certainly affects people doing both.

I always attended when it was after Area 25 as it was a long way to travel but 2 shows made it worthwhile.
