Does anyone else think its rather cruel to a pony in this heat, to compete in a class when it has already qualified?

Does anyone else think its rather cruel to a pony in this heat, to compete in a class when it has already qualified? No. If it is 'cruel' (emotive word) to compete a pony in this heat, then it is 'cruel' whether it has qualified or not - the temperature and conditions are the same! Personally I consider my ponies' welfare ALL the time and if I thought it was not in their interests to perform on a given day in particular conditions, competitive considerations would not affect that. I hope other people have the same principles - but I appreciate not everyone might be so scrupulous. As an aside it's probably cruel to doll up the kids in jackets, boots and hats and make them undertake a physical activity/ sit in blazing heat

The lead rein M&M is not professionally produced the Blythes are an amateur showing family in name only ,their ponies are always beautifully turned out and look and go as well as any pro.
