I'm going through to watch tomorrow. My ponies have only started back working after winter, so I'm not taking anything myself.

Went to Oatridge this morning and am back home didn't even take ponies off the lorry. Absolutely disgusted with the place, it's a building site and a rough one at that and with nowhere to work in there are unhappy ponies and riders everywhere. The stones, are stones from hell. I shan't be going back there, never again. I should have heeded the warnings on here about the place, they are well justified. With entries and travelling I've just wasted a lot of money that could have been better spent elsewhere.

we did not take anything because our pony was lame for 3 weeks after the last time . I tried to tell some nps committee members that the place was bad and was told it will be fine !!!
i hope bsps south are aware of the situation as the WHIP international is going to be there in August --- i am NOT putting my ponies forward for this

I'm not blaming the Scottish NPS, for all I know they could have been led to believe it would all be ok in time for their show, I would imagine that's the case. It's not just the ongoing building site that's a problem but lack of room too. Ponies were clearly getting very upset squashed in like sardines, the 'working in area' was a farce, it wasn't possible to use it to work in at all it was full of huddles of ponies and people using it as a collecting ring standing around waiting for their classes. Thank god the SWPCA have the sense to keep their show at Devon Leisure next week and haven't succumbed to the Oatridge trend!

Black Wizard won the Picton Hairies, tho he bucked; nappy HiPo 2nd, very well behaved Trailtrow pony 3rd. Huge range of standard of ponies in the class. Does Snec plan to have outside rings at some point?

Well Im gald Im not the only one now who thinks like this about the venue. Lets hope they do something about it for the sake of the horse. If things are sorted Im sure it will be a great venue, until then I will stay away

apparently the outdoor arena (at present anyway) is the area inside the gallops. Now as the owner of an ex racer which we hope to show remind me NEVER to go to SNEC if we are in the outside arena or work in is there.

Black Wizard won the Picton Hairies, tho he bucked; Just to clarify it was Kilmannan Black Magic that won the Picton. Don't want any rumours starting that Black Wizard is back doing novice classes!

Well done Scotlass - a gorgeous filly! Does anyone know placings for Novice Ridden Highland please? Poor girl in one of the Pictons: pony not playing ball, pulled in last, napped +++ in individual show, then tanked back to line, pushing girl over in his hurry. Hope you're ok, whoever you are, cos it looked sore.

Naughty pony was Something Comet, or Comet of Something. Lovely looking sort, but a bit too enthusiastic. Yup he would belong to me I can confirm that it was bloody sore, my knee is now purple and Comet was very close to ending up in the Walls sausage factory in Broxburn.....
