Just back very late from coaching, and having a general look around before bed. Am somewhat shocked with this one - - Antony Reynolds has been around a long time and has seen a great many animals over the years. On this occasion he may have been right, he may have been wrong (to say what he has been quoted as saying) - BUT - he certainly isn't (and here I quote)"STUPID" (close quote) Wornthetshirt, do you not think that saying to competitors that he thinks the judging was fixed was not a "stupid comment" I for one would NOT BE IMPRESSED if I was in a class and the photographer tells me the class was fixed, I would be furious that I had wasted my time, effort and money. If he thought that he should have reported it to the show sec or the relevant society so that it could be dealt with, NOT TO A COMPETITOR for it to end up on here for open discussion, surely that would constitute "STUPID COMMENT" ?? Modified to say- stupid for making a stupid comment! Well, I am only acting on heresay; I certainly wasn't there. But, some of the photographers (who, after all, get to know some of the competitors quite well over the years,) will sometimes make a bit of a crack (joke, to the serious) just to relieve the monotany. I can think of another who lives in Wales, who is more likely to come out with flip comments. But - I would have thought that someone with the experience of Hollycane would know both gentlemen well. Think it's time to move on.

Apologies for going on about the first placed saying that they couldn't qualify as the horse/pony is produced, and I'm sure that those that did qualify were worthy of the qualification. There are many "produced" horses and ponies that do qualify, and enter the final. They don't always win which is all because of the way the final is judged. I for one am looking forward to the Cherif, as is joules, and both of us are happy to compete against the proff's. x

The reason the horse that won did not have the cherif card signed was because they are not taking her as she is only a baby (and they dont want to rush her) and they have three other going to the Cherif and therefore cant ride them all. It has nothing to do with her being produced. :-)

Good on them for not taking the ticket and passing it down, knowing that they they don't want to take the mare, and good luck to them with the other horses they are going to take.
