There were some very nice ponies at the show today, the turnout was very good.
Was the meani section C a gelding? Looked overheight/ small D, although it did a sweet show, lovely C pony in second, should have won. There was a very nice C stallion in the class, dont know who it was, think it was ridden by the girl that rides the fell, Misty? shame he was a bit on his toes. Didnt think much of the stallion that went champ in the pictions either.
That Starcrest discovery is absoutly stunning!!!!
All in all it was a good show

The Sec C's were both Tyreos Ponies. The second place mare was Tyreos Billie Fury The Stallion was Tyreos Casanova owned and ridden by Georgie James. Only his 3rd show Both ponies 4yr olds, both by Wyken Rob Roy. Both were beautifully produced and should do well in the novices. The mare reminded me of Keepsake Loads of ponies in the in hand and ridden classes. Riddens could have done with a bigger arena, bit tight for the novices.

They both look very well for 4 years old. Yes I am sure they both have a good future ahead of them! Good luck to them.
Does anyone know what won the inhand, I saw justing Davies from the popsters stud, take the C champ with a very nice C stallion. But I didnt see the D's, who won and what was supreme?

I think that the section A champion was Thistledown my fair lady shown by Popsters Stud. I would agree with you about the Section D Picton winner, personally i thought not the best in the class. I thought that the C's inhand were of a very high quality.

I have been told by his owner that Cayberry Hotshot won the Dartmoor 2yo colt class, did anyone see him? as I bred him and would love to have seen him in action.

These comments are not at all irritating, even for the people on the receiving end of them. There seems to be no malicious intent, no-one's being nasty about anyone else, and this is a Gossip site! It would dry up pretty quick if we were all nicey-nicey.

Tyr'llawn Mr Cool is a very nice colt in my opinion.
"those comments r so irritating" - I would have to disagree with you in this situation ... "i think"'s post was very rational I personally believe, they said they werent that keen on the winner but were in no way rude/hurtful towards the horse/its owners or its rider - maybe you took it the wrong way?

I think that people shouldn't be afraid to give their opinion. Thats what discussion is all about, if their were no difference of opinion then there would be no discussion!

Debbie Baker won Open C&D Ridden on her a beautiful head stallion About Sec D Picton classes, what I meant is I didn't think much of nearly all the Sec D cobs in that class not just one of them. Half of them are poorly schooled as they are so unbalance around the ring, they should make sure they are well school before bringing them to the show as it's unfair for young cobs to find their feet as well using their brain to see what is it going on as well listern to their rider when they are not ready do that. They are either lack of bone or too fat. It drive me mad to see people keeping breeding light bone with heavy body . Look at all those Sec C they all really beautiful bred with lovely bone, great credit to the sec C breeders

Anyone know what the Sec D that won the Picton class was called ?? Curious now after all this talk !
As for 'Wiltshire Man's comment: " Half of them are poorly schooled as they are so unbalance around the ring, they should make sure they are well school before bringing them to the show as it's unfair for young cobs to find their feet as well using their brain to see what is it going on as well listern to their rider when they are not ready do that."
The Picton is a NOVICE class, so you are going to get a mixed level of standard and schooling in this class. Also it is not possible to tell from watching a pony in one class if it is poorly schooled or any other number of reasons why it might not be going well on the day, especially with young ponies who are still getting used to being at shows.
I was not in this class, but I do have a novice who I am doing Picton's with. He is very well schooled and has been sucesfully competing in dressage over the winter, however last friday at busy outdoor show he was very distracted and was not focused at all and was cantering on wrong leg, disunited, not standing still etc. However then on Sunday it all came together and he went beautifully and was placed 3rd in big class.
So dont be so quick to judge !!
Lexy.

In answer to wiltshire man, I dont think you can blame breeders for no bone, blame the buyers, there are plenty of breeders out there, including myself breeding cobs with quality AND bone.

who judged the A ridden class please? The A&B ridden stallions and the C&D ridden stallions were supposed to be judged by Mrs Seymour, but the inhand D judge judged them. The open riddens were judged by D spears.
