Firstly I would like to say "Thank you" for all the wonderful and positive comments made about the ponies bred and produced from Idyllic Stud.
When we started Idyllic Stud in 1981 we had the stallion Taliarias Granite. The foundation mares, Knodishall Pandora, Foxhunter Swci and Coed Coch Nodedig. Then of course Pendock Legend who we owe a lot too!
We wanted to breed ponies that would be remembered for their expressive movement. We think we have done this over the years without loosing (in our opinion) all the welsh characteristics they should have.
Springlane Pebbles was bred by Mrs J Wales. She has been a loyal client of ours for approx. 20 years and with our assistance in overseeing the breeding programe of the Springlane ponies, Mrs Wales has achieved 2 life long ambitions, to win the Queens Cup at the Royal Norfolk show (Springlane Prosperity) and to breed a Royal Welsh Champion! To do these in the same year is truly amazing. I hope she can do it again with one of the youngsters waiting to come out!
I am very disappointed with the negative comments made about the way we supposedly treat our ponies. For those of you that feel they are unable to identify themselves on a public forum, I invite you to call any of us to discuss the concerns you may have.
I was also upset that my reply to a comment made in the collecting ring, was reported back as being more than a response, quoting names of previous ponies that had gone in the ring with the same expressive movement. I was merely stating that Springlane Pebbles is not the first Mountain pony to move like that and if we have our way will not be the last!
We wish you all well
Jenny & Norman

i have read with interest all the comments made about your pony, and judging at the rw, and recently more and more comments about judging in general. I think the internet is a wonderful thing and gives everyone wealth of information at their fingertips, but find the current trend in 'judge bashing' extremely distasteful. too many people can come online into a forum like this and express their 'views' on anything they please, and as someone who doesn't yet compete, i find the whole thing quite offputting. i am all for freedom of speech, but i also think that if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all equally relevant. if a small minority of people keep slagging off judges on sites like this an others then what incentive is there for new people to start showing? and if new people dont go to shows, and support the classes then more and more shows are going to struggle to keep going. then you will al be on here moaning that there are no shows to go to! whilst i accept that some corruptness is inevitable in any shpere, be it a local dog show or the ever popular x factor, at the end of the day people seem to have lost sight of why the majority of us do show. its because we like to go and have a fun day out with our ponies and our families. there will always be people, such as studs and producers who do it to showcase there stock. and if it wasnt for producers and studs sponsering so many classes accross the country then half the classes wouldnt be able to go ahead anyway. and producer bashing is another big thing at the moment. of course they are going to go out and do well with their ponies. they are professionals and are paid to produce the pony and show it to the highest level! they get there pick of ponies so they only take out what they think is going to do well, under judges that like that type of pony, so of course they are going to do well! its there job! Maybe if some people spent more time at home working with there ponies, researching judges, maybe paying stud visits or shadowing some of these producers then they would get better results with them. just a thought. rant over and btw, Pebbles is beautiful, and while i havent seen any of the other ponies in the ring im sure she was a deserved winner. many congratulatins on your success, and also well done for coming on a forum like this and standing up for your family and your ponies.

Masive congrats to Mark, Liz, Jenny and Norman she is a truly outstanding pony. People have either not been in the job very long or have not studied their A's if they cannot remember Tallares Granite - now that was some pony and one hell of a mover and i know it is something that he passed onto his stock.
best regards to you all ( and your parents Liz!!) Nicky

I remember Pebbles as a yearling competing at PUK, against my very special pony Sleddale Jeffrey, who himself was a mover. From that day forward I have watched her progress with interest. The pony has always risen to the occasion and always been a show stopper, her action has never changed from being a baby.
Her action in my eyes typified what I had always aspired to, and I have admired her for many years.
I wish to congratulate everyone connected with her. Special ponies only ever come around once or twice in a life time, on that basis you all should be very proud of your achievements, not with one but with many. You are all very lucky and obviously very talented at the job.
Rather than all of the terrible things that have been said, by some very horrid people, why don't they sit back, take a long hard look at themselves and stop being so jealous and concentrate on learning the art!!!!
Congrats again - Jenny C

I do not breed Section As but had one as a child then B,D PB and am welsh through and through and this pony is everything in my mind that a proper Welsh pony should be, no puggy deformed head with no room for teeth that we find immposible to bit, a proper length of rein and back that an adult could actually fit on, a proper engine of a back end that has the power to lift the front off the ground and cover the ground not shuffle up and down, and a tail se slightly higher than her hip bone not half way down her ski slope quarters like a lot of them. My two requests to all concerned with her are a) Please please breed me a 16 hand version of Pebbles to make a breathtaking dressage horse and b) present her for grading with the SPSS, I know you may not want to but the European Sport pony breeders will be drooling at the possibilities from a mare like Pebbles.
