Did anyone go? Have looked on results as we have held a lot of Trailblazer qualifiers at Keysoe and was just interested. Looks like it was very quiet.

Is this held at the same time as the Trailblazers dressage competition? Is it at Stoneleigh?

yes it was quiet, no atmosphere. A good few seemed to go home after the first day despite having paid a small fortune for the privilege of entering!!!

Not surprised it was quiet. The entry fees were outrageously expensive. I dont know anyone who went as people said they were making a stand against the entry fees. If people accept this a the norm for paying to go to a show we would only be able to do a couple a year. Trailblazers might just get the message.

Was at a local show the other week with my veteran and the classes were trailblazer qualifiers and no one wanted the tickets with all the comments being about how expensive it was to do.

Its the same cost for the dressage and jumping but they are usually busy! Think the showing side need to have a re-think.

They are far too greedy - the dressage and sj are really well supported but they have no idea how to get the showing side up and running which is a shame because they potentially have a very good competition there. The classes are all wrong with SRT only going upto 14.2 - makes no sense!! They made a seperate Cob class for this year - why when there was only 1 in the Show Horse class last year?! Think they need to have a serious rethink!!!

Maybe time for someone new to pick up the reins and steer it in the right direction, before people bypass it completely

I dont know if this is the same show but our friends who have our old horse have been at trailblazers dressage champs for the past 2 days, think it was at vale view equestrian and she won her dressage section yesterday and got 6th in the championship today so a big well done to Lauren Hill & Harvey Nicholls!!!! ;D

we too took a stand and didnt go due to the massive expense - even to let 3 children do one class each was silly money.Shame cos we were all set up to go till we saw the costs involved! We are doing equifest with all three kids and five ponies for less money! Seriously though i did email Trailblazers with my concerns and they couldnt have cared less!!

I went and thought it was a very well run show, and the venue is supurb. Plenty of working in compared to other venues and great overnight facilities. I had 14 in my show horse class with some strong competition, and 11 in my other classes which were coloureds and the style and performance. Only downside was that some of the stables were tiny (8x8). I did leave my entries til the last minute because of the cost, was wondering if such an expence would be worth it? But the class numbers were well up on last year with much improved standard of horses so I for one enjoyed this show and will be returning next year!

And although 11 and 14 in a class are a fare size I wouldnt say for a championship show that they are well represented, those are the sort of class sizes that we get at our local riding club shows, with good standard of entries too

It was very expensive, compared to other shows, but was a lovely venue. It did need some better organisation tho. Originally it said that the L/R class would not be before 11 so we arrived assuming it would be around that time, only to find out that they had changed the start times and that it would not be before 1! Great!!!! We could have been notified in advance, bad planning, glad I don't run my business like that!

we did the dressage and yes stables were tiny .glad we only had a 13.2 but some people were daft enough to put their 16.2 horses in them! we decided to do trailblazers and not anything else this year (due to cost of all these shows )as we haven't done it before. there were over 150 competitors in the senior prelim section so it was well supported i did post my comments into their comment box in the hope of things improving as i felt that all competitors at a championship should get a rosette for qualifying and the size of the stables would put us off going again. also the awards are done in a side ring instead of making a big thing of it like nps do with their evening performances shame as the venue is lovely

Got back tonight from the finals at stoneleigh, the stables were flooded and ours under two foot of water, fabulous time though with well over 100 entries in each class, but i agree with the fact its too expensive, it cost us £300 for entries and stabling. x
