Tawbitts Mystic Major 2nd, Thistle 3rd, Pernod 4th.A strong class. Why do these breed societies leave themselves open to complaint- the judge had a probationer in with her, clearly discussing ponies. This is against NPS rules, it clearly states it in the rule book. The probationer was the breeder and owner of a certain herd and I belive the winning pony was bred in that herd!! The rules were pointed out by a competitor but the society ignored her.

Please don't let the 'probationer' item spoil the result. It was a very strong class with the first 4 all very strong contenders. They were all very close but three of them were really good for 95% of their show while 1 was really good for all of their show & on the go round & that was Redstart. She did a lovely go round & then went on to a lovely show where the rhythm never changed. She made it look effortless & so willing. The other ponies were wonderful but she did have something extra on the day. The judge did a great job of sorting out those ponies & got the right result. Really loved Major too. Isn't this pony a novice? If so wow he will certainly be fun to watch. I did have a pony in the class but not in the top four & I don't have any connection with the judge. If anyone thinks it wasn't a fair result then they don't know anything about ponies under saddle. All those comments made about exmoors that they go on the forhand & are unbalanced, this pony proved that some people can get it just right. Well done Redstart Good luck at Olympia we have two exmoors to pin our hopes on!

I wasnt suggesting the result was wrong, Redstart is fab, went beautifully and Ali is lovely, well deserved, and I agree about Mystic Major! Just wish thr=ese breed societies would study the rules and not do silly things like this, talk was rife around the ring.
