Thanks Trends.
So I guess that C le M and Lucy Cameron took the tickets. Shame for Faye - maybe she can get a ticket at Burghley.

The judging was all over the place there in that class and the riding horse/hack class. Think they forgot they were judging a mixed class in the rh/hack class. I was the only hack in my section and when we went for feedback they said that my horse wasnt really the riding horse type....err hello he was entered as a hack! Apart from that the feedback was great and was pleased though that mine gave the best ride to the judge in our section even though he wasnt of 'riding horse type' lol
The one placed 3rd in the ror class was robbed. It was beautiful and was a clear winner. Hope she gets there eventually ;D

Thats a matter of opinion Dizzydora I thought the racehorse class was judged very well. The classes were split due to numbers and the horses that got pulled through had to then go round for final judging.

I was pulled top in the first section of the ROR with my chunky RH type, and not in first 3 to go through. Any unbiased opnions why - as we were disappointed but I didn't ask... my first HOYS attempt with him

To be honest, there is no point asking anyone who was NOT the judge on the day why you did not go through. The whole point of the SFAS/ROR series is to get feedback - ask next time!!! Did anyone from your section go through? And I think that only the top 2 qualify. Or do you mean the top three that went through for final judging?

Yes, make sure that you ask straight after the class - don't leave too much time between being in the class and asking the judges - quite often they see so many horses throughout the day they can't remember which horse you are talking about. They judges are very helpful and give some useful tips, but you have to ask straight away. Keep trying
