What time are the HOYS classes in? Haven't gone as my heart is just not in this anymore but good luck to our boys. Even though yet again we have been 'informed' who the winner of our class will be. Not a criticism if they do win just a sinking feeling.

Yep know what you mean Hoys classes start at 10am but usually drag on well into the afternoon there's been a lot of rain in south wales this week so "the sinking feeling " will probably continue underfoot! Only one entrance and exit to the showground so expect long delays both in and out

Well done to Nebo Herbert, never seen him before but really liked him. He really carried himself and went forward even on the horrible uneven ground.

I never never ever post on her celebrating my own success but I am going to now !!!! My mum qualified her Novice Dales Stallion Thornville Jake at Monmouth yesterday in his second ever qualifier (the other one was Royal Welsh !!!) well done to Michelle who has broken him and ridden him from the start she has been so patient waiting for her time to shine again since she brought out waterside genesis all those years ago when HOYS was at Wembley. She works so hard and has had to stand back and watch me take the glory for years on Faraday Barney.

Wow Well done, where did your mum end up at The Royal Welsh (I was there in that class just trying to picture which one she was) What a lovely family occasion hoys will be for you with some friendly rivalry between the two of you see you there Hayley (Raven's owner/rider)

we came absolutely no where - neither of us. I was first out to do show on Barney and then Michelle on Jake I think was 4th out. He is a black stallion he looks a bit tucked up as he is only 6 and being a stallion in use covering mares his body hasn't matured fully for showing yet. Michelle rides him for mum and she is only in her 20's if you are trying to picture mum who is in her 60s!!! She was also stood top in Picton at NPS and then wrong legged it - I think she's pulled out all the stops yesterday to make up for it !!!!
