Well done, the standard is so high at the VHS shows! I didn't end up going to this one due to the lateish start. What time did it finish??

Yes kirstyk, I was wondering that too! When ever I have gone to the finals before we have always been stripped. I dont know how the judge can correctly see the confirmation etc with the saddle on. SilverShadow, I will prob see you there as I think we are also going. Good luck to everyone in the finals this year Lisak, we didnt finish too late I think it was around 6 maybe and I was in the last class too (I can't actually remember looking at the time while I was there!)

I was also wondering why they didnt strip the horses. I for one get really frustrated with this class - all the regionals are a high standard and the lady that one the pre vet ridden was a lovely horse in fabulous condition. however in the past i have done very technical shows with walk to canter rein back etc but the marks dont seem to given for the extra special shows , but at this show i think the horse that won did a lovely show but not your typical bsps type of show in fact she did most of one long side in walk on a long rein which is something i have seen other than in the dressage arena. I wonder what are the judges looking for , at this particular show they were lifting our saddles flaps up , I know there is a mark for turnout but surely its the overal turnout ie neat tidy.

We were in the over 25's ridden and wondered why we were not stripped. We have been lucky enough to have qualified for regionals for the past four years and have ALWAYS been stripped. Not sure how the judge could have given their marks correctly without seeing the horses confirmation without their saddle on? ? We were also under the impression that you were to do a basic show and anything above that would not be taken into consideration. But on saying that we attended a qualifier at ponies uk to get our old fogey out before the regionals and they did not even have a mark sheet and could not give out any marks and this was judged more on the horses show than the marks???!!

I wondered this, we were the only lead rein pony and the first to do our show and trot up. I offered for my niece to get off and to strip our pony, my mum was waiting too but he said no bother so trotted up with rider. I know they do this in l/r classes but not normally in VHS
we are coming to the 2 day show so cone say hello!
