Please dont bite my head off, but are WHP classes for show horses and ponies that hunt, jump etc , or for any animal that can jump. What has happened to conformation in many of these classes?

There are 20 marks for conformation so it does matter but a clear round makes up a lot of marks. We have an IWH who made up 5 marks in the Desert Orchid to beat a one stop (we had 2 down). Stuart Hollings did write about this subject a little while ago - if you were buying - a show horse that jumps would be desirable!

We own a SHP, that also does V well in WHP classes. We very ofen hear people say that they have a pony with poor conformation so they are going to do workers with it. You now see, dreadful limbs, and very very poor conformation, jumping with no style, but clear , standing way up the line. Just thimk that it is very sad to see.
