I want to give a huge congratulations to the little girl who won the Team Hollings Junior Championship: CHARLOTTE MARTIN with BROOKFARM HEAVEN SCENT She showed her pony to perfection - they were a lovely combination to watch, a real childs pony, with a very capable handler. To then go into the Supreme Championship, with 15 top class competitors all handled by adults, and then show her pony off as professionally as the rest was an absolute pleasure to watch. She is only 7 years old - amazing! Her delight when she was called as First Reserve Champion and her beaming face throughout the presentation and lap of honour was a delight to see - well done - a star in the making!

Our first time at the CHAPS champs, have to say we really enjoyed it. My daughter Sarah Harrison and her pony Chantilly Lace IV won the ridden qualifer native final and res champion on Saturday and also won the HOYS class on Sunday, both classes well supported especially the HOYS class it was huge. Have to say a massive well done to Denise Warmen what a fab show you had Sharn will have to watch out lol.

chantilly lace is a lovely lovly pony. i have seen her name through the year winning at shows but this was the first time i had seen her. wonderful trot!!!
Merrigans Legacy is indeed breathtaking. i had the job of following him in to the arena on the sat performance of 3 yr old of the year with my traditional - kind of a hard act to follow!!
He is superbly turned out and the people who were with him - man and woman - were really nice. \The handler really does him justice.
is he standing at stud at all?

Does anyone know if there was a pony in the LR called rosegarth Miss Daisy I have seen her pic on equinational but wonder if she has the same name the leader was a man with a flat cap thanks Brenda Thompson at Northern Colours has her now. The lad it hink would have been Connor My Yearling Hopgarden Hanky Panky won the Part bred welsh on the Sunday, Under Nigel Hollings, Absolutely thrilled with this result! Olivers Pony, Barney, was 3rd in the Veteran Final on friday eve, i was slightly emotional as at the last CHAPS Champs was when he gotPoorly and had to have Colic Surgery, and at 28, every day is a bonus

Really disappointed with CHAPS. I sponsered a class in memory of my mum, did not receive my sponsers pack, my shavings for my stables were supposedly delivered and werent there when we arrived, had stables away from the sponsers area and couldnt find anywhere to hook up. Cost £400 without entries or even getting there so I wont be sponsering here next year but will find somewhere else to sponser a class instead.

lovley Write up in horse and hound this week, re CHAPS Champs, agree the Merrigan martin family do such a fabulous job. DSmum, my sponsors pack didnt arrive either, but you still got in the sponsors lounge didnt you?! I found Dee most apologetic that it had been mislaid inpost. There were sponsors stables all over, which ones were you in? Finally got round to uploading photo of my boy
