Haven't a clue what happened and my only interest is .... one of us copuld be next, only know this person from round the shows with lovely ponies HOWEVER never believe all you read and for all those who own or care for horses never assume your are caring for you horses in the correct manner as there is always someone out there who thinks they know better. How sad to trawl old news and drag it out into the anon colume

yes i agree with you Dawnie. The lady involved cares very much about her ponies and once the case is heard i'm sure there will be lots yet to come out. The RSPCA are not always the saints they make themselves out to be as we often know! I do not want to start another discussion about this case, i think people should wait until the outsome of the court case before they start the accusations and sh*t stirring.
However on the flip side of that, reading another news story just a bit lower down in that paper - isnt it sad that someone can damage a coffee table and use agressive language yet he got vitually the same fine and community service as Dawn Rose who was a genuine horse abuser, killing 3 ponies!!!!
There truely is no justice in this country

I believe the person concerned has offered through this forum to explain the full circumstances in private to anyone interested. Also unlike other cases which have been recently discussed, this case has yet to go through the courts, so please I think 'innocent until proven guilty' should apply here. If cruelty is proven after a fair trial I'll be the first to condemn.

If you think that mountain ponies living out naturally etc is cruel then so be it, as is what has happened in this case !!! Its all down to do gooders interfering and put it this way the actions of certain organisations, who were totally unjudtified in this case would be better served on genuine cases such as the state of those ponies in recently in stamford !!!!!! seems like organisations go out of their way to upset non essetial non urgent cases leavingother animals suffering .... I am saying no more other than what you read aint all black and white and have had from the horses mouth quite literally the real deal and i am happy with what i have been told !!!! Im sure it will all come out in the wash and after the official dealings have been dealt with parties concerned will speak out

As already said, leave it until the court case is heard on wednesday - make your decisions after that! To be voicing opinions either way now, either supporting or against is unjustified - I am sure both sides will have things to say that will be very important and if the person is cleared she can put her story across in full, and if not, I am sure the rspca will do their usual trick of posting it in every newspaper along with photo`s etc, so people can make their minds up then! Perhaps things will be proved not to be as black and white as they seem for either party, who knows? No point in speculating!
