I went to UK Showing today and would like to say what a lovely and well organised show it was - entries were good today and it was difficult to find a parking spot - I agree with the person who commented about losing the Elite and the NW needing a show like this. I think that the show was well worth the £15 entry (only £12 before the day) Rosettes and sashes were beautiful and everyone appeared to have had a lovely time. Loved your c! Never seen nothing with movement like that!!!!! Well done

had a good day, but definately not as busy as summer, had good results and the in hand judge from sunday was very helpfull, i seen her with a child who obviuosly had not alot experiance, she was patient with her and helped her as did the steward, nice to see this. my boys were very well behaved and had some good results, didnt stay for the evening as for my yearling had a good day and thought it unfair to leave him on the wagon for all that time. disappointed that it wasnt the inter club as had been going to my local shows all year in order to qualify for these CHAMPIONSHIPS, only to find out i neednt of bothered, well like supporting my local shows anyway so hey ho!!!
Welldone everyone who competed and a huge welldone to Harvey Parry, you little star!!!

2 Ridden Show Pony Exceeding 138cm but not exceeding 148cm Note the rule: No age on jockey and ponies not exceeding 148cms The next class was exceeding 148cms which was riding horse. Which class would you have entered with a 148cms LHC pony? We entered the class as an intermediate and dressed accordingly as an intermediate jockey. Please enlighten me as to exactly what rules were broken and where was the cheating? I don't see any accusation of cheating, but perhaps the offending post has now been removed? Either way, I have competed at UK Showing for several years (until it stopped being a RC champs this year) and I don't recall there ever being limits on rider ages as there are in affiliateds. Many smaller adults riding ponies are restricted to local showing where the (IMO) ridiculous age limits don't usually exist. As UK Showing used to be a RC show, they didn't impose the limits either. From what I can see, a pony of 148cm should be in the not exceeding 148 classes, not the exceeding 148 classes as 148 doesn't exceed 148!!!! hear hear!

had a fab day yesterday kat got champion novice show pony and me and angelica got reserve champion in pairs in the evening was fab ! ;D kat was an angel for her first evening proformance! and my arab class was huge had 17 horses in it but had a fab day ;D but on saturday i would say it was more of a show pony day and some fab hoys ponies there nice to have competition if not we would be agaisnt the same people everytime it would just get boring!rant over Charlotte this is a lovley attitude and having seen you and your pony I would say keep up the good work. There is a lot to be learned from the people who compete at top level. anniemum - what professionals? As far as i know all the competitors were home produced. It was quieter than the Summer show but then the winter ones I have attended always have been. i thought it was a fab show and loads of people slag this show but most of them go there to i dont get it i would drather be put low and have hoys ponies in my class i vote for them to keep it as a open show ;D here is a few pictures of kat ;D

We attended UK Showing for the first time and had an enjoyable weekend, it did seem quite on the Saturday but some of the ridden classes seemed to be well supported. We meet some lovely people with equally lovely ponies and my youngest daughter did her very first junior class (large breeds) and although not placed we were really happy how her new pony Gerogie Porgie looked after her. (Thanks NativeX) The Supreme of Show on Saturday was a beautiful animal as was the reserve, and both deserved there wins in my opinion, so well done to you. Sorry couldent stay to watch all of Sundays Championships but well done to all the winners and competitors.

i think that uk showing did very well at organising this show last minute decidin wat it was a in terclub or open show but how ever the show is we will always support uk showing. even though it wasnt very busy it was still very good and i think that the entry price was well worth it for the rosettes and sashes.

Whalton Wolf Whistle was supreme and Pickmere Top Of The Morning was reserve - both beautiful horses and so well deserved I must add.
Have the horses been produced show-horse? I can't comment as I do not know the owners of either of the animals in question but I would certainly like to give them the benefit of the doubt as I am sure there is a reasonable explanation or this is all a misunderstanding.

Whalton wolf whistle and pickmere top of the morning are home produced ponies. The families wouldn't of entered if they weren't eligable I'm sure!

Whalton Wolf Whistle is now totally home produced and was last on a producers yard 3 years ago. Pickmere Top of the Morning was last on a producers yard 2 years ago. The rules are for the ponies only and not the jockey. I have pasted the rules direct from the website and pasted them below:
HOME PRODUCED SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP The classes are open to horse and ponies that have been stabled at home since 1st January of the current year. DIY livery is acceptable providing it is not the establishment of a professional show producer/trainer. Horses/ponies entering the home produced Supreme championship must be owned, produced, ridden or led by the owner/spouse or his/her son/daughter/grandchild or relation/friend no monies to have been exchanged or to be exchanged .
