I have a 12yo section A mare who quite often has noisy guts as though she's hungry, which of coarse she's not. She's regularly wormed, in good condition, teeth are fine. Vet says it's nothing to worry about and I've contacted feed specialists who have said maybe her digestive system is upset and I have fed her what they have advised but the noise is still there. However, early this year while having her teeth done it was discovered that she has a cleft palate which has more or less closed up but she does breath abit like Darth Vader from star wars!! Again, this has always been checked by a vet and all has been well apart from the cleft palate was never noticed!! The reason I mention this is because a friend suggested that maybe she takes in alot of air due to this problem and maybe this is what the noisy guts are caused with? Any advice would be great, thanks in advance

I have heard great things about that pink powder though I don't use it myself. A friend has an eventer mare and has struggled to keep weight on her due to her stressing and no doubt upsetting her gut. Put her on pink powder last year and was able to cut down all the cereal and weight gain products she was giving.
Good thing about it is it should be fine for a little native as well. Yes I think I would try it if I had your concern.

I have an Arab and he had noisy guts, and a few years ago he was prone to Colic, also did HUGE Pooh's and sometimes could be more like a cow pat, I heard about Pink Powders and I thought wouldn't hurt to try them, well I was gob smacked with the results, he now does "normal " Pooh's and the gut sounds have lessened and he is more bright eyed and bushy tailed, in fact he acts more like a 2 yr old rather than a 15 going on 16 yr old, the Vet is very impressed with the affects the powders have had on him, he only has 2 small scoops a day, good luck! ;D

Yes - Pink powder has a great effect on POO !!
My mare is a right poo-pants and kicks it all over the place. Once I put her on PP she started to go in one corner and leave them alone. Mucking out much easier! It also works as a calmer on her.
