Ok bit of a debate maybe to be had here but lets keep it nice! I am a bit confused as to all these horse rulings! In the rules it seems to state if a person has had a horse in a yard that season or season before they cannot judge the producer, except this still seems to go on. Should the BSHA be tightening its rules to stop this happening? reading on another thread it seems a prize was taken away for this (and it cld have been an honest mistake, or change of judge at last minute etc i don't know) but if someone hadnt complained wld anything have been done? I believe there have been other breaches including at other association shows with sometimes nothing being done. I know pony judging can be facey etc but is this closeness worse in the horse world and is this what puts people off going into these classes?

I would say that if no objection was made nothing would have been done, how are show/association organisers meant to know who's yards who's animals have been in!
Ensuring you adhere to the rules has to be your own responsibility.
Choosing to bend the rules happens unfortunately but until more people make objections, judges start penalising and associations hand out harsher penalties its still going to happen!
