Does anyone know of a county standard / Hoys 15/15.2 hds show hunter (coloured considered) stallion. I want to put my mare in foal she is a 15hds Anglo-Arab. I want the foal to make show hunter/intermediate show hunter, we live in north west and would rather use something round here, if not will have to travel. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I know Romany River have a comberton stallion, standing, think he's 15hh SHP. Try the NPS website, they have a stallion section.

Karen Raine @ Country Farm Stud has the most gorgous stallion, Country Top Dollar, he is 15.2hh and a riding horse type, he is throwing really nice show stock. He is on her web site and I think he stands at £250 and well worth it.

I've used Groomsbridge May I 15.2hh black Tb very good hunter type. Was shown successfully when young but then had field injury so retired. He's produced some good youngstock that are winning in hunter breeding classes etc. I used him on my arabs to produce good anglos to make hacks/riding horses/intermediates. He is based in Devon but also does AI. www.groomsbridgestud.co.uk

How about Uptons Deli Circus ? He is approx 15.3hh and is a coloured advanced event horse. I used to own & event his 1/2 brother and his temperament (and ability) were just fantastic. Also have met some of Circus progeny and they are lovely looking horses, and great temperament too. However if you want to breed a 15.2hh intermediate show hunter - and your mare is 15hh anglo arab, then you might want to consider a stallion a bit bigger say ~16hh. The Country Farm stud have several really nice performance stallions. Also another one to consider is Goshka Ringo. I have been to see him and although not ideal for my mare (she is welsh cob, and looking for more quality) I thought he was lovely horse.
