Ken Ettridge was photographer.
Well done Lizzy and Miss Attitude winning 133 novice SHP - and bad luck in the Nov 133 WHP - we will get you a horrible water tray at home - at least you didn't need the helicopter this time!

We were so pleased with Chloe & Edward and didn't expect a result like that at their first ever show 2 x 1st plus Champion & Reserve (well done Lucy with Countrymead too he looked beautiful as always) Edward was only gelded in November but has given Chloe a lot of her confidence back after the dreadful falls she had on the "safe leadrein" we bought 12 months ago, it was a hard decision getting him gelded but the right one for Chloe. A Big Thank You to Zara you have changed Chloe so much from a frightened little rider to a little girl who enjoys riding again, you have worked wonders with her and Edward in such a short time. xx

We enjoyed yesterday, nice atmosphere, good to catch up with peep's not seen over the winter, I love Myerscough (shame the outdoor arena's were frozen) 1B did a great job of juggling rings/working in (speaking from a whp point of view !!) Victoria enjoyed Mr Rakovik's course lots of different fences She came 2nd in the N/S with Rosevale Silver Sonnet and went Reserve champ. Does anyone know the Tiny sweet girl on the Fab chestnut pony who won she jumped an amazing round . Well done Ali & pam on winning the 133 whp with Dan.

Well done to everyone for their results yesterday, especially to Katherine Bowling for winning the restricted large class on her beautiful Highland mare pony Millie Rose of Strathmore and for standing champion restricted with her as well. One slight criticism is that I thought the M&M ridden ring was a bit small for the amount of larges forward.

One slight criticism is that I thought the M&M ridden ring was a bit small for the amount of larges forward. On this last point, i do feel that due to the ever-expanding size of an already large class, the ridden larges really need splitting down further across the showing societies ... this also goes for large height m&m workers ... whilst capable jumpers, the highland/fell/dales breeds do not possess the same athleticism of the connemara/new forest/welsh d's and they really do need their own class, especially when it comes to the Open RIHS & Hoys classes

Also watching the larger ones jump would agree a further split would be sensible!

I would imagine the majority of competitors would also agree. It is time the BSPS addressed this situation.

thanks for your agreement, northerner and lucynlizzysmum ... i wrote to Hoys office re. m&m whps last November but have received neither acknowledgement nor reply ! Perhaps we should all write to BSPS and other societies about this altho in favour of the NPS they do have a good split of classes in their Native WH summer classes .. this now needs to be taken a step further and applied to RIHS & Hoys quals ..... i'm sure at the other end of the scale, many Shetlands feel the pinch when entering the under 122cms workers so c'mon all Shetland, Highland, Fell, Dales peeps, lets get writing and see if we can make a difference to what has almost become 'Open M&M Working Hunter to exclude Shetland, Highland, Fell, Dales' !!!

Saw that pony at NPS Scottish show last year and loved her - definitely one to watch this year I would imagine.
