Fabian is a rising 8 year old 13.2hh British Riding Pony.
He has excellent conformation, eye catching looks, stunning colour and impeccable bloodlines.
He has exceptionally straight paces with an outstanding extended trot.
He has all the gears but completely snaffle mouthed at all times, responds beautifully to the rider’s seat.
He has been shown in both a snaffle and a double bridle.
He is light off the forehand, like riding air, floaty and graceful.
He was bought for a confident but inexperienced 10 year old child to help her experience all the competition disciplines and has given two outstanding years of fun and shelves of rosettes, trophies and sashes.
He is schooled and worked in by my daughter throughout his time with us with regular input from top show, dressage and jumping instructors.
He has matured this year into a wonderful pony offering all round talent having competed very successfully in show jumping, dressage and showing. Ideal pony for the rider that wants to have experience in competing in all disciplines.
He copes well with unexpected situations, doesn’t heat up by “show dramas” like loose horses.
He has done PC rallies and events including cross country (with lots of leg protection!)
He is able to switch easily to a safe hack, pleased to go alone or with company, walks willingly out from home, jumps logs and branches with no issues and returns home without rushing! He has been hacked in traffic and is a saint with stray dogs that rush up to him barking!
He is equally happy to play at home being ridden bareback, jumping soft toys and generally doing all the silly things that children like to do with their ponies.
He approaches outings with an attitude of a pony twice his age. Stands alone by the trailer happily munching on a net.
Easy to do in all ways. Qualified BSPS winter champs first time out.
Now for the "but" bit which is a rareity in horse adverts. Fabian can put in a buck, more often than not at home and because he is being blocked by the rider's hands, but never the less he does do this. He is also a sensitive pony that doesn't cope with rapid changes in his routine or being left alone in a field or stable. I have posted video of the good and the not so good to give you a very clear idea of who he is. www.youtube.com/user/durwent31
We are asking £5000 ono for him but if you feel you can offer him a super home, can bring him on and keep him for a couple of years at least I am open to offers ( 07809490707)
