I am taking a mare I bought in Januar y, she has done no affiliated showing at all, just pottered about at local shows in the Milton Keynes area. I took her to a show recently and a BSPS judge saw her and told me to do affiliated SH and WHP classes........so I am!!! Can o nly give it a go, she is nicely put together and jumps well, one probelm is her mane, when we bought her she was fully clipped, after a few weeks i noticed short mane hairs growing from the top side, the clippers must have caught the mane, i hope it is long enough now to plait in, has been a bit messy the few times we have been out

I am taking my horse to do the Novice Riding Horse on a ticket first affilitated show with her. Am I right that you can wear double or snaffle? What is the norm?

You can use either a double or a snaffle, but most people show in a double.

Love Newbury showground when it's wet especially the whp rings. Wet grass on chalk.

I was going to go and do the hacks but dont think i am going to bother now. Think i may have a weekend off from horse shows and my friends bday is monday so it wld actually be nice for once to be there! Was going to addington too but not going there either as the new b has arrived and need to do schooling with youngsters instead! We have also pre-entered so that is one less from the int class!!
