Hi, Just wodered what colour tack woul suit a grey highland with black legs and silver mane and tail?? Havannna or black??

Havana is more traditional and would be my choice, but it does seem to be perfectly acceptable nowadays to use black on an M&M if that's what you choose.

dark brown .. we use that on our light mouse dun highland and all other ponies

i have black tack on my dapple grey conny and black fell but have brown tack on the yellow dun highland

I use havana tack on my highland, who is a similar colour to bigmama's Hector. I have also used black tack on him at home, which does actually suit his colouring (he has black legs too), but my personal preference is havana.

I have black tack for hacking on my grey dun highland but always use dark brown tack for showing.

Always havanna/dark brown for showing/whp's as below (yes, i know rider isnt wearing tweed but it was an arena eventing comnp ~ straight outa dressage arena into jumping arena)

Can you try both and see what it looks like....I find it really odd that people will stick with brown tack because it's traditional....it all depends on the over all picture!
I know of several hoys winners that wore black tack....section D/intermediate/15hh hunter pony/lead rein m&m ... So please don't think wearing black has an adverse effect on your results!
