It was mentioned in another thread that adding Glucose to feeds can help to increase energy - has anyone used it before? Did it work? Our local feed merchant sells it but there are no instructions on how much to feed

I wouldn't - I try to avoid feeding sugars and starch as they predispose the pony into getting insulin resistance in the future.

I wouldnt use it, I would stick to something that produces energy but releases it slowly. Glucose will release very quickly and then create a kind of 'come down' making the horse/pony worse than before and craving more glucose.
I used to ride a d stallion who's owner used to give glucose sweets to and it was horrible. It was like riding a horse with adhd!!!
Is there a feed specialist at your local feed merchants who can advice you on what to use???
