Oh can someone cheer me up, I am having a really bad day already. Woke up totally down in the dumps, fed the ponies and turned two of them out which is about a mile walk both ways. Came back and had to put my trailer away as we had a late lesson last night. Would the bloody thing go where I wanted it too. It is a really narrow area where it goes and it must have took me half an hour where normally its 5 mins. Took the 2 year old colt to his field he nipped me and it really hurt on the way there and just as I was putting him into the field 2 kids came past on skateboards frightened him to death he panicked and hit me full on the side of my head at full steam boy did I see stars so like a pathetic moron I saw down in the field gate and had a good blubber.
After all this was mega late for work so had a talk from my boss and I just keep wanting to burst into tears.
Does anyone else have pathetic days like this I am quite tempted to ask for the rest of the day as a holiday and just go home and feel sorry for myself
Cheering up needed please !!!!!

Think it is a May day thing. I to have had a bad day, quietly minding my own business, when owner of stables where we keep 2 of our ponies comes along and has a real go at me for posting rent through her door and not actually putting in her hand!!!! B***dy woman!!!!!!!!!!! went on for about 20 mins about it. Never mind that she can never be found when you go to pay the rent .

Every day is a bad day for me - its just that some are worse than others tee hee. Yesterday a miracle happened - I WENT OUT TO LUNCH, yep, I know I am shouting - you would too if you were the only one of your (small and getting smaller) group of friends who never lunches/shops/goes on holiday...it was my Mother's 72nd birthday so we went off to the pub, sat in the sun and had a meal...so civilised! But then I had to come home, sort the bills into piles (I can pay, I want to pay but cant just yet, I can never pay, Right you must be joking and Dream On) OH of course is away and is still muttering about going away sailing next week!! Puppy understands SIT but has no idea about GET DOWN and thinks my hall is an indoor loo. I am a big believer in the healing properties of having a good cry (should do as it seems to happen daily at the moment!), and of course a very big Gin whilst watching old videos of my daughter on the ponies.....Good God, how sad am I? Plus, why is it no one wants to buy my house, daughter's outgrown jackets, ponies, trailer etc... ??

i am also having a bad day so decided to resign from my job As i work for myself it was relatively easy to tell myself that i wasn't going to work for myself anymore. Myself wasn't surprised and gave myself mr myselfs credit card, and the rest of the day off. Myself and my daughter are going out for the afternoon ... Village Pub & Topshop here we come!!! However, i thought first i should compile a CV for my future employer: NAME: Overbent DESIRED POSITION: Reclining. But seriously, whatever's available. If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place. DESIRED SALARY: £185,000 a year plus stock options and a Sven Gorren Erickson style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle. EDUCATION: Yes. I got the BHS Stage 1 and passed a course in Rug Repairs At Home LAST POSITION HELD: Target for middle-management hostility. SALARY: Less than I'm worth. MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT: My incredible collection of stolen hoof picks REASON FOR LEAVING: I was asked to HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK: Any except mornings, evenings, weekends and some afternoons PREFERRED HOURS: 1:30-3:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday so long as it dosn't clash with show days. DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SKILLS?: Yes, I can plait a pony, holding a vodka and coke, smoking a Marlborough Light whilst giving instructions on how to make packet Ministrone soup on a single burner gas stove MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER?: If I had one, would I be here? And as i was my previous employer i would just tell lies. DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS?: Of what? DO YOU HAVE A CAR?: I think the more appropriate question here would be "Do you have a car that runs?" I have a horsebox in perfect working order, so would require extra parking space HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION?: I once had a story printed in The Dandy, and won a small sanyo radio and £2.00 I try to avoid recognition especially after some high jinks at Ponys UK Summer Show DO YOU SMOKE?: Yes, like a train, and I can smoke two at a time during working hunter classes WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS? Living in the South of France with a fabulously wealthy, handsome toy boy who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Actually, I'd like to be doing that now. DO YOU CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE?: No, but I dare you to prove otherwise. SIGN HERE: Gemini with Libra rising. I still can't sign in

Try my s**t day for size. On the last possible incubation day my ponies could have developed a particularly nasty disease after inadvertantly being in contact with a carrier guess what's happened??? Need i say more??

The yard owner is a cow She told us we had to go on part livery in a crappy letter i got today - OR GO - all we want to do is look after him in what might be his last days. Why are people so hard and money orientated? I intend making Pips Story a book If he dosn;t make it He'll live on in my words I am so sad i just want to go asleep but cant't

Thank you so much for your kind words Its not good Loss of use
My poor daughter, as a mum its so very painful to see your child so distraught and feel totally useless. I have contacted a healer this morning, there is nothing the vets can do, but i have faith and i won't give up. He's a special horse and we all adore him. Its in the hands of the Gods now. I won't write my book just yet, as i pray for a happy ending.
Thank you once again

Overbent- the very, very best of luck. Please let us know how your horse goes on. Sometimes even when you think hope is lost things do change. I am going to leicester Show tomorrow with a pony which two vets said should be shot when he pulled his foot off in a drain (yes, you did read that right). That was seven years ago and he is as sound as abell. Hoep the same happens to yours.

OB please dont give up a few years ago my dartmoor pony had a sinker and the vets said no more could be done. but heres still here in semi retirement sound when the ground is soft slightly short on a corner in summer so we show him in winter at least he is still here and he is now teaching my grandson to ride.
