Hi We are looking for s new mare to join our family. We are a small family stud on the south coast (literally) and due to my old mare slipping her foal this year I need to think she's too old for breeding (20) (gutted) I am looking for either an established broodmare or a youngster with potential for my dun stallion and his cream son (next year) Home can be vetted I cant pay silly money so no telephone numbers for the price thanks

hi, i have a 7yrs old TB bay mare. she has great potential and is registered with the Jockey Club. She is retired from racing due to back ankle injuries on the track but is still able to ride ( no jumps, racing, or barrels though). please email for pics, bloodlines, etc. kelsie_wilson@yahoo.com

You know, mares sometimes slip a foal but this does not mean that they will not go on to breed successfuly in future. Your mare is only 20. I would expect my 20 yr olds to go on for quite a few years more. It is a shame to give up on the mare you have already. 20 is no age for a broody.
