In case anyone doesn't know this is on Sunday at Ollerton (near Knutsford). Just 10 mins off M6. BSPS RIHS quals for just about everything plus horse workers and loads of BSHA RIHS incl cobs, hacks and riding horses - also hunter qualifiers! Schedule available online (BSPS website - click on society - go to 2A).
There is also a separate ring for non RIHS working hunter pony classes including M&M, novice, home produced and restricted - most are qualifiers for summer champs.
Entries taken on day (at extra cost)....but not sure if this applies to horse workers.

The large breeds was won by a black section D, all the classes were pretty full exept the connie / new forest class only six in that class. Judging seemed very fair judge spent a long time looking at each and every pony.

Hi can somebody please tell me what the winning connie was called in the rihs classes, i belive it was very close between the first and second, but have not seen the marks, called the sec (she was very nice) but she says it will be a week before i can get them, so please if anybody knows the connie marks can you tell me --- no malice it is just i was second and did not stay to see them as the ground was so hard we took the decision not to do the champ , ( we did tell the stewards etc) as it is a long season and did not want to jar him up thanks

RE Connie / New Forest RIHS Class
hang on a minute i think you are being very cheeky about the class being very poor , i stood and watched as i was in the hairy class after it, there WAS a very nice free moving Connie in it ( placed second) and please think of the feelings of the people in it and what about the feelings of the winner , by saying it was a bad class takes away her joy

Just to set the record straight regarding entry fees....the RIHS entry fees were £29.00 or £30.00 in advance, but double on the day (less RIHS levy). This is more or less what every other show charges, but some will not accept entries on the day.
AND there were some lovely ponies in the Connie/NF class!!!

I was watching the ridden mm was really keen to see the Connie /new forest class
there has been allot said on here about this class, there were some very nice ponies in that class and to be fair they all went well, the new forest won an earlier class beating in my opinion a very nice Highland,
what was the second placed Connie a very good mover and a lovely pony type, i asked several people but nobody knows it, it is ridden by a "tall grown up lady" again i have never seen her. this Connie is a lovely patten and i would love to know a) what it is and b) how it is bred

hi, i won the connie class. i think it was abit unfair on u sayin the class was poor when in my opionion there was a few nice ponies in there. especially the one in 2nd. which in my eyes deserved to have won. but at the end of the day it isnt my fault or the horses fault that i won. its the judges opionion and ther isnt much i can do about it. i do apologise for the girl in 2nd as she really did go well and in my eyes should of won. these are the marks anyway between me and 2nd that u asked for
Me: Show 40 Conf 43 2nd: Show 39 conf 40

I watched the large hack class Charles le Moignan won on a black horse. He did a fantastic show and the horse was to die for. I think it is called Pick Pocket this is one to watch fo the future. It also won the championship. Stunning!!!!!!!!
