No dis-respect to the ride judge who I travelled to go under today and would do again. hard luck, Hayley ... soo close and very frustrating but i know u will do it .. yor pony is amazing!

i think the only reason people have there backs up is it clearly states in the rule book about whats acceptable and whats not in regards to money changing hands wether for pony or production etc, if this is the case the rules have been broken and win should be withdrawn and handed down to second place, has a complaint been lodged?

Re the rihs class f/d/h/d. I was in this class also I got a fair enough mark off the ride judge, no problem with that at all, my conf mark was one of the lowest which suprised me, he moves straight no lumps or bumps and I can honestly say he is usually in the top 4 for that mark, maybe he was too small for her liking , I ll never know , so just know not to go under her again. By the way we were 9th

Hey guys, dont persecute the performance judge, as I said earlier, her judging was "spot on" she rewarded good shows with good marks, well done her!! The gripe is with the confirmation judge. As i said earlier, i had my reservations when entering the class, but i did enter, i took a chance, nobody twisted my arm, it was my decision. Alas, upon arriving and looking at the catalogue I had a feeling what would happen. At the end of the class, "feeling" confirmed. At the end of the day, you have to put it down to experience, expensive as it is, it has confirmed my opinion, you only need look at the conf marks!!! Never mind, we live and we learn. So the solution is........... a certain name will go into my "little black book" I then dont make the mistake of putting £££££ diesel in my lorry tank, £££'s on entries, getting up at "sparrows fart" travelling my beloved 4 legged friend. Instead I have a lie in then go shopping and indulge on a nice treat on the dosh I would of wasted. Thats the art of successful showing!!! On a lighter note, GOOD LUCK everyone for the rest of the season, that or you will all have "bulging" wardrobes of recent shopping expenditions but at least you wont be able to say "you have nothing to wear" LOL

Rule 477 (h) Applies. A judge must not knowingly judge an animal owned or produced by a person who he has purchased animals from or sold animals to since 1st Jan in the current year. THIS RULE HAS DEFINITELY NOT BEEN BREACHED!! Fax, the rule you have quoted there is a little different to rule 477d in the current 2010 BSPS rule book that's on the BSPS web site.

rule 477 d, judge owned, leased, loaned or produced, by a person that keeps or has kept any horses or ponies at livery/stud with him or if he has or had any horses or ponies at liverly/stud leased or loaned to or produced by the exhibiter/producer sinse the 1st january of the previous year
i think it comes down to sportsmanship and morals, i cant see how it wouldnt of occured that by entering this class, it would be seen by others to be taking the p..s, imo, i have no ties to anyone at show or in anyother way, just my opinion, i wouldnt of personally entered, just as i wouldnt enter if i was close friends to the judge, or had any involvement with them outside of the ring, but this is just my opinion

perhaps they forgot there rule book, rule 497 judges should carry the bsps rule book when judging , it is esential for reference if any questions or problems on rules arise. rule 497 probably needs to be questioned as well, which maybe should result in rule 486 being bought into action obviously just my opinion

Just really wondering why anyone is SO surprised re the result (RIHS M&Ms) and subsequent outcry, and to be truly cynical will it make any difference? No! Personally thanks to someone who told us not to bother to enter, saved us a lot of money and frustration!

Personally thanks to someone who told us not to bother to enter, saved us a lot of money and frustration! It may not make a difference to the result maybe, time will tell, however if you are someone involved in a show committee organizing judges for your BSPS affiliated classes you would perhaps take heed of this thread. To survive shows need competitors, and those competitors need to be happy with the proposed judges to travel and complete. Just a thought.
