Hmmmm it depends... Ponies uk has got better and they have no more silly things like the clampometer. The summer champs was great last year. They have a funfair (but it is well out of the way of the rings and deosn't start to about 6 ish so the day classes have finished. And, the evening performance ring is no way near it.) The committe have got better and the shows they held are quite organised. I'd say it's worth joining... Compared to bsps I'd say it's as good not better. However, I'd call bsps a more competitive show and ponies uk a more 'day out' show.

Well said Ponymum, PUK is a shadow of its former self - such a pity because it was a great annual event

I havent heard good feedback regarding PUK and a lot of people have stopped attending, I think a lot it due to the expensive joining fee as well as the class fee's. Another reason why Equifest was well loved I would imagine.

Having competed at PUK on and off since the 70s we went back a few years ago and were delighted with the standard of the WHP courses. So much thought and effort had gone into them compared with very plain tracks at BSPS. I know PUK has got faults but there are also some very good points as well which shouldnt be forgotten. I really wish they had kept their Northern winter Champs as that was one of the reasons we came back to it and Addington too far to go for us.Has anyone thought that IF you ALL go to Equifest, they are not going to be able to cope with the huge numbers and it will become classes of 2=3 hours?!!!!

I wont be joining again this year. I thought some of the judging in the M&M champ classes was apauling. Also the move to a "central" location for the winter champs will definatley put me off. We will be going to Equifest, heard it's just as good and a lot cheaper.
