After watching the ridden classes at Glanusk yesterday i am extremly glad i have not wasted my money on entering the HOYS M&M classes at the RW. When the judge had the class of approx 18, not many compared to what she will find in the ring at RW walk around the ring for 7 laps before even asking for trot (a further 6 or 7 laps), canter another 5 laps then a change of rein and another 5 laps of canter. Gallop (those that still could) then a further 6 laps of walk while she tried to figure out who was who. She did not watch one part of the ring she was glancing around the ring in all directions looking somewhat lost!! If your pony napped, tanked or was thoroughly badly behaved, well you can guess you were at the top, must have been because she remembered you!! I know shes only doing the conformation section and not the presentation section, but she was struggling with her breed type on her own breeds. How is she going to cope with Connies, fells and Dales!!!

Was this the same judge who caused problems at Northleach last year?

Yes she judged lead rein and first ridden and ridden sec A. No wonder the steward took over and judged the class !!!!

I was in the lead rein at northleach last year and i thought her judging was fair.No i did not win i was last! She could not take her eyes off my pony but at the end of the class she said he was lame from his hip so i took him out trotted him up and she was spot on!All her placings in that class were good.
