I am looking for a new groom to replace my lovely hard-working Katie, who has been with me for several years and is now wanting to move on to bigger and better things. 30 hours a week, 2 full days and 3 half days, Mon to Fri only, no long days or silly hours. Possibility of more hours if willing to work weekends as hunt groom in winter and show groom in summer, but this is not essential. You must be: - a tidy worker with high standards
- happy to be left to work alone when I am busy in my own job
- able to exercise big hunters and 13h M&M ponies, so under 10st but capable and confident around big horses - hacking out with me and able to work horses on the lunge
- and above all, 100 % reliable
I can offer a really good working environment with great facilities, good rate of pay according to age and experience, and lovely horses and ponies to work with: 2 big hunters, a Section D and 3 Section Cs and a little Shetland. If you want to participate more fully, there are possible opportunities to show and to hunt for the right person.
I am looking for a long-term commitment ideally, and a minimum of 12 months, so no summer holiday jobbers, thanks. Attitude much more important than experience.

We are based between Glossop and Hyde. Sorry, no accommodation available, but own horse welcome.

Position filled now, thanks to Horsegossip.
There certainly seems to be no shortage of excellent grooms in North East Cheshire. I had lots of super applicants ivia Horsegossip and just wish we could have employed them all!
