Both small & large SRT were won by people i havent seen on the circuit before. ISHT was won by Kathryn Pitt. The small then went champion int.

The small SRT was won by the Graham Laity, don't know it's name though and went champion.
The Lrg ISRT was won by Holltess Hampton Court - Ridden by Joanne Davis who has been showing for ages and who has had ponies at HOYS/RIHS before.
The hacks were a farce with some weird judging going on. The Keens were beaten by an absolutley horrible small - plaited for britain, so a bit of a shock

Please can someone tell me what SRT etc stands for? I'm very M&M, so please forgive my ignorance. PS. Not using my member name, in fear of ridicule!

As it was in the RIHS catalouge last year as being a small. I remember seeing it at Wincanton horse show, looked a picture, a lovely animal. I didn't watch the small hacks but you are abit harsh saying a "Horrible small, Plaited for england," I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions but this is a public forum and don't think you would like it if your animal was being described as "Horrible," You must remember most people in this game have these animals as pets, they aren't rosette machines which are expected to win every time out. Alot of time, money and effort was probably put into the horse who won the smalls, so please remember next time you post please don't be so harsh, as sometimes people's feelings get hurt.

I think Jack Jones qualified yesterday. What won the heavies? I hear entries across the hack/cob/riding horses were low on a par with the rest of the country.

Never been on a chat forum before but was told about the ivybridge results by a friend so decided to take a look. I find it amazing that there is a debate after all showing is subjective and it all comes down to the judge standing in the middle. There is always a differing opinion of a result on the outside of a ring depending on loyalties etc....The small hacks seemed to be judged quite fairly i think 2 left the ring the top 2 both made mistakes individually and with the judge, as for conformation it would be difficult to comment unless standing where a judge stands! Seeing that both horses were being ridden by riders that would be deemed as professionals i am sure that neither would have been happy with the mistakes made. At the end of the day on the whole the judges descion is final and until the class is completed they make the choice you could be pulled 1st have your horse play around and lose it, that,s showing!! Being nothing more than a watcher for the day the top 2 were pretty evenley matched that just my opinion on the outside! As a p.s. the heavyweight cobs were won by Lexington with a new rider on board.

Considering the winner of the small hack won the week before and qualified for the cherif under a totally different judge means the win at Ivybridge was not a fluke. We all get cross when we consider we have been hard done by but it states in the schedule THE DECISION OF THE JUDGE IS FINAL.

I didn't feel hard done by - as I didn't have a horse there - I was just watching.
In my oppinion Absolutley should have won - far superior in type - but he didn't. There were others in the class that I felt moved and went better than the winner. Personally I liked one of the chesnuts more.
Perhaps me calling the small horrible was a little over the top and im sorry about that.
Just felt the judging was a farce
