Hi every one, Please could you help me? I have found a horse that I like, he's sounds perfect, but the people that own he haven't put a price on him. They say he's not going to be given away but needs to be sold as all there mares are by him. Im hopefully going to look at him on Monday. He's an 11yo welsh sec d stallion, bay 4 whites, broken to ride last year, bin to a handfull of shows. bin out of work over the winter but just coming back in now. They say he is not stupid under saddle, and a real gent. he came 7th one year out of the junior stallions class at the royal welsh. What do you think he's worth? Thanks xx

As much as someone is prepared to pay!! Price difference is between the stallion price - do you intend to use him? what is his conformation like? did he come 7th out of 7,15 or 30 and on more than one occasion under different judges? or do you intend him as a ridden cob in which case how much more work is required? If they are desperate to off load then the bottom price is not very much maybe £1000 on a good day at a sale, if he's outstanding has produced good stock and is nicely schooled maybe around £5000 in the current climate.
