I appreciate this may not be the right site to advertise racing wise, but you never know! I am looking to get back into racing (NH), but in an office type way, so am looking for a racing secretary role. I worked in a NH yard a few years ago and have been passionate about it every since, however don't have any contacts anymore! I'm a part qualified accountant, so have the relevant office/accounts side of the job, and also a keen interest and following plus a little bit of knowledge of racing. I keep an eye on the websites that advertise, though these are few and far between, but I guess these jobs aren't always advertised, quite often word of mouth fills the position. Would I be best to contact trainers directly? I'm looking at Aug/September time to start and am happy to relocate. I am booked on a 2 day racing secretary course, so am hoping that this will give me the relevant information!! Any help, ideas, advice appreciated!! Thanks in advance

ehy dont you look on the ntf website and ring round a few trainers, often the bigger yards in such as Lambourn have a secretary and a trainee secretary.

Saturdays Racing Post usually has quite a good jobs section in it. Which area of the country are you looking for?

I look on RP jobs most days, have done for months, racing secretary jobs don't come up/or get advertised very often. Also look on careers in racing. I don't really mind where abouts, as I'm willing to move.......but I am in Cheshire, not too many yards round here really.....
