Hi I cannot log in to Lounge area. Account name is cobden, every time it says an activation code has been sent I do not receive it ! Email address shown is correct - HELP

Yes nothing in the spam folder. Any other suggestions ? Is it to do with Firefox ? Judging off the posts Im not the only one who has this problem so Im a bit surprised that more definitive advice isnt being offered in an area called 'FORUM HELP ....

Do I type the activation code into the password section when i go to log in for the first time because if i type in my password it is rejected. Thanks

When you register you get sent the activation code to you email address. In the email that you receive is a direct link to activate the account. This takes you to a page which asks you to login in again. Put in your username and chosen password here. After that the next page you will see is the activation page. If you clicked the link on your email the code should be pre-filled for you so you just need to click ok. If the code doesn't automatically appear then you need to type it in (it will be written in your email.)

Tried that and reregistered but everytime we put in the password it told us it was incorrect and wouldn't move to the next page. Why?

can you give me one of the usernames you've registered with? I'll pass it onto admin - the best thing will probably be if admin can change the password and email you the new password and hope that works!

Ok, your account is still saying not activated, do you think you could give me the activation code detailed in your email as well? Hopefully admin can activate it for you. I cant do anything about it until the account is Activated. It is up to the user to activate the account with the code and the password. You need both of these items to activate an account.

Are you definitely putting that code into the box that appears after you've logged into using your username and password. Try using a different computer, one that doesn't use the firefox browser. The only other thing i can suggest is that Admin emails you to ask for your password, to see if they can then activate it

Boyden here. we put in our name then our password and enter and the boxes come back with password incorrect. We've tried logging in with another name and the same thing happens. Wouldn't something come up to tell us if the firewall was stopping us logging in? We can't even get as far as getting the box up for the activation code.

I think the best thing to do at this stage is to register under a new name. Make sure you make a note of whether your username and password is in capitals or not and see where that gets you

I COULD NOT GET ACTIVATED AT FIRST IT KEPT TELLING ME THE CODE WAS INCORRECT SO MY SON DID IT FOR ME HE COPPIED AND PASTED THE CODE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU TYPE YOUR PASSWORD IN EITHER UPPER OR LOWER CASE WHICH EVER YOU USED TO REGISTER OTHER THAN THAT CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT AND TRY OPENING ANOTHER WITH DIFFERENT DETAILS

Glad you managed to activate in the end Pipsqueek, just a little note about forums; when you type in CAPITALS it gives the impression that you are shouting at us, so best to make sure capslock isn't on
