We're going Saturday. Had an argument with the office as only sent 5 passes and we have 4 ponies with 4 different jockeys the eldest is 12 and the youngest is only 3. What did they think I was going to do with the kids and ponies when I was in the M&M LR? Leave a twelve year old in charge? after spending over £100 in entries I think they could stretch to a few more passes. Anyway now I have got that off my chest, I wish everyone going good luck and let's hope it isn't too muddy.

If you have a living area in your lorry just hide the extra kids in there. Dont pay extra on the gate.
They never bother to check.

if it is wet, remeber not to wear your best Jods. It's red soil and a pain to get out

Yes I know, and do admit to doing this in the past, but why should we, when I think we have paid enough?

We have a similar problem with passes We have a cob competing on Thursday and then again on the Friday in the coloureds but Devon only sent 2 passes for the horse!!! therefore is they take them passes on the first day then we are stuffed on the second!! had to have words with them. Entries fees are the highest around £38 for the hunter classes first prize is £40 compared with Royal Cornwall which has the Wembley ticket and is much better value and a better show all round I consider the Devon County to be a glorified car boot sale.

Newbury Show use to be very mean with passes, some years you are just waved in without a second look, but once we were really scrutinized...would not have been able to conceal a goldfish without a pass, let alone a small child!
