The most important part of putting too ponies together as a pair is," do they match in their length of stride" not how high they are. Also accepting the second pony working next to them, and going straight together.

Ditto globetrotters reply also if you know it will work well try it but one horse is easier to manage than two if anything should not go to plan. I would have loved another section d when i used to drive, that would have been a fab sight. Good luck with it though we want pictures

I used to drive a pair of cobby spotted 12.2hh ponies at driving trials!! Found pairs easier than single, as most of the time one would go forward when the other one was pratting about!! Miss it loads, going to brake my standard shettie in the spring!! :-)

It is great enjoyment driving a pair of ponies. This is the view from the boxseat of two of my Fell mares.
