Now I'm doubly worried, never been before, and couldn't wait, didn't even consider that things might get pinched - nieve or what!!!!! Then coupled with all that, the huge expense of entries and stabling and now our little LR pony has gone lame (daughter gutted) me too because I'll lose all those entry fees, not happy Just hope our little pony becomes sound.

There seems far too much anxiety on here , opportunists are everywhere not just on showgrounds. Get out there and enjoy yourselves.

Don't some people make mountains out of molehills. Have they nothing better to do only moan and whinge or are they just plain sh/t stiring. I have attended P UK, NPS, BSPS, Hoys and RHIS over the last 30 years and yes occasional things have walked - well they have not arived home with us. But have we had them stolen or Have we mis-placed them, put them down and forgotten to pick them up.
Over the years not really bothered as we have had so much fun particularly at Ponies UK.
As for the rubbish about the Evening Perfomance, we have enjoyed them all and have never seen or heard the noise and banging described, me thinks some people are out to mis-lead.

Sorry what I also wanted to say was forget the moaners and whingers.
Come along and make your own mind up, the MOST of the people that are there seem to enjoy themselves. with regards to dirty Showers and Toilets, we have not seen them although the people that clean them are quite humourous, in a funny sort of way we call them "the Wombles" because they are like the one on the telly.

What I forgot to say was come and judge for your selves don't be put of but the moaners and whingers. Some people have nothing better to do.
Somebody mentioned dirty showers and toilets- well I cannot agree like the other lady said our experience is ok. Altough they do have some rather funny people doing the toilet cleaning and litter picking and general cleaning they are like "the Wombles" off the telly.
Try it for yourself, and we hope you have the fun we have had over the years

Ive entered 3 for ponies uk and bsps, same amount of classes and ponies uk has cost slightly more, I havent been for two years, im sure they used to do the zenith classes at cheaper rates, say 15 per class?? whats happened to that? I was impressed with nps, stables cheaper if going for 1 or two nights instead of bsps where you have to book the duration, but also junior classes £7 per class!! this is where ponies uk and bsps are letting themselves down, £30 per class!! ok for some big ones such as blue riband etc but not all classes, I think this puts people off. Ive always had good experience at both champs and as someone said the courses are fantastic at puk infact there are so many classes I dont know what to enter, at least when you jump round a lovely course you get your moneys worth! but its the lead rein thats expensive! £30 for a figure of eight! I must be mad!! lol well I will certainly be enjoying it and making the most of the experience xx

Have been to Ponies UK for the last 11 years but not going this year. Has lost an awful lot of it's sparkle over the past 4 or 5 years and it is very expensive. We are giving Equifest a go this year as always preferred Peterborough to Newark show ground. We have got sponsor stables this year which we have never had before so really looking forward to that. All feed back I have heard about Equifest is 100% positive, so now on count down to this show.

I have done Puk for many years, but not this year, not due to any nasty experiences, although I did have a fold up wheelbarrow took from underneath my wagon one year! I live approx half way between Peterborough and Newark and can't afford to do both, so doing Equifest purely because it's cheaper and has the atmosphere of the 'old peterborough Puk' which Newark does lack. As far as the state of the toilets and shower blocks, surely if people cleaned up after themselves in the first place, they wouldn't get so bad.

this is the spirit i have experienced in the past at PUk, my first year of showing I entered my LR shp into a show pony class having not really gotten to grips with the showing world wording, I was in the collecting ring thinking oh my everyone is in navy and red and I have my tweed on, a competitor came over and asked if i was in the next class when i said yes she offered me her spare blue Jackets for both me and my daugheter, thanks to them we got placed, its people that are willing to help each other out that make PUK champs special to all its competitors. I hope you have just as much fun as we do.Its like any show/party it is what you make of your time and if you are willing to talk to people x

Have not been for a few years and yes the toilets and showers are not good, its far to expensive, the staff are not as helpful as they could be but it was a great show - the last year we went it def was going downhill fewer trade stands and noiser and when went to equifest the atmosphere was much friendlier hence why we have chosen to go there for the last 3 years and its peterborough which is just prefer - go and see for yourself maybe PUK will start to learn from their mistakes before it has gone too far down

Sadly too far for us (northerner) to travel in the winter ...... went to BSPS/PUK WHP qualifier in Preston, Lancs last weekend ... the BSPS classes were very well attended but there was only one in PUK class so it seems a waste of time holding PUK qualifiers up north as people seem to be voting with their feet
