This should be a very interesting HOYS qualifier - I could not even start to predict a Winner!!! so Not taking any bets here !! - which hopefully will lead to a fair competition allround!!

We are doing our usual pilgrimage to Swansea. Furthest show in our calendar. Taking the C and the little Fell. Don’t actually like the show but my lot always insist on going. Never done any good there yet. At least I don’t have to stop at Gwent on the way home this year.

It was soaking wet last year I remember watching the HOYS championship. Triple Crown champion Governor of Whitefield Reserve. The classes were not huge but some nice ponies there. I remember thinking how well they all went on the ground it was terrential rain.

Problem is most years the weather is not very kind before Swansea and because the parking is mainly on a slope the parking can be a nightmare. IE getting on and off with your lorry has been joke when it is wet. There is usually a very good turn out. Looking at the judges this year I would say that the turn out will be just as good if not better than previous years.

Mrs Debbie Spears and Mrs M.G. Evans

They have a super course for their Hoys workers as it is up and down and in and out of light and dark, which sometimes catches people out. Agree with Steve the ring is big enough with a slight slope, which causes no problems unless very wet. Mummies and daddies might need a sit down after the walk from the car park as it is very hilly.

I am a big fan of Miss Evans never taken an M&M under her before so i have no idea what she goes but i have shown ponies under for years and has always judged ponies not riders or producers, she is as honest as the day is long and i am making a serious trek to go to Swansea just hope D Spears is genuine

And knows her M&Ms. Never seen Miss Evans but am led to believe that she is a show pony person and is not the most Knowledgeable when it comes to breed and type in the M&Ms.

Ms Evans is one of the best M&M judges around, she judges the ponies not the riders, she also is very knowlageable of breed types as well. I have no hesitation in showing under her.
With the judges they have, i would think it will be one of the bigger qualifiers this year!

Should be a really fair result tommorow, and doesnt it just prove when judges are honest and genuine everyone likes them and NOBODY pulls them to pieces, normally there is always a heated debate about who knows who and what favours will be done. Well Done Ms Evans D Spears

Well i dont think D Spears will have a highland to win that section i believe it is her breed and she never has one to win because she doesn't want to be seen favouring the breed.

Hasty, i meant well done for having such good reputations no one knows what will happen tommorow just stating that no one has been nasty about them which is very unusual. Best of luck to everyone competing and lets hope these 2 live up to their good names.
