Sorry but for me we need to stop the favour syndrome friends judging each other and people qualifying ponies simply because that person has a qualifier later in the year and they want the favour returned mainly producers who commit this offence and it is getting worse ansd the amount of moaning and bad feeling it causes is spoiling showing for a lot of people. This is my opinion and whatever anybody says it happens all the time

it is impossible to stop the facey judging the only way is for shows 1. Not allow judges to judge any one in there area i.e. area committee members judging same area committee areas 2. Not allow anyone to judge each other in the same year. 3. Have video footage of doggy judges 4. Have judges, judges in other words supervisors or top stewards keeping an eye on situations.
What surprises me is the societies that dont seem to reconise the favour system and have no intention of stopping it.
Why if you are competing why would you want to be a judge ?competing takes up enough time.
It will never be stopped until insider dealing is stopped and that will never, never happen, because there is not big money involved only enormous egos.

A friend has had threatening messages left on her answerphone so we've suggested she tapes them onto a dictaphone.

What if the judge of the pony that eventually ends up champ at the finals albeit HOYS,Olympia etc gets to judge that championship the following year. eg. if Mrs Bloggs puts spot through to Olympia and Spot wins then Mrs Bloggs gets to judge Olympia. Would encourage judges to put the best through not just the faces. Just a thought.

Having made much of not prefering a wilkie "snaffle" and providing a diagram of preffered bits it now seems behond belief if the rumour that the NPS council yesterday overlooked the use of "Bubble "Gags in both Novice and Open M&M WHP classes. This surely contravenes the 2007 rule book. Why can't they take hold of making a decision on this before the Champ Show and competition Finals for the good of ponies mouths in the good spirit of a welfare issue? If the BSPS can act quickly on their rules how come the NPS are so convenientlhy slow? Encourage good hands and good mouths PLEASE.

It is about time all the societies looked at saving costs to the exhibitor at their championship shows as they have become excessively expensive. The NPS look to have thought about families with several ponies. Their Junior ring with reasonable entries is a great step forward for showing but the BSPS has become excessive and is encouraging people to overspend or decide not to attend a show their ponies have qualified for.
The time has come to re-assess expensive additions such as the Evening Performance and glitz which all the shows now offer and instead look at what the shows should represent. Surely this should be the best ponies in the country and not the wealthiest owners.

I dont think that the evening performances cost the champ show orgainsers an awful lot more on top. After all they hire the site for the duration of the show, so in a way it would be less value for money if they DIDNT use part of the showground into the evening. Apart from BSPS champs which seems a bit elite ist in the evenings most of the other show organisations try to make it possible for mere mortals to 'dress up' and have some glory, by having amateurs, home produced thru.
