I think we may put in an appearance this year even if we just go for the Sunday!

Not happy with the 7.30 start for classes on the first day! That would mean having to stay over the night before - guess that is more money for PUK in stabling. Not sure that we will go next year based on this - we went last year and stayed one night which was very enjoyable but cold! Don't think budget will stretch to 2 nights and travelling there on a Friday night will be a nightmare.

I don't know about anyone else but I was quiet disappointed to see this years timetable! With only one evening performance with no top tens just championships, I can't see there being much of an atmosphere any more! We are planning on taking a sec b and coloureds only to find there is a massive chance all of their open classes as well as lee smiths clashing! And to top it all off, no use of any outdoor warmups on Friday and £10 per horse to use indoor!!!! We will now have to pay for this as two of ours are babies and will need riding after the journey!

Do agree about the top 10's. That's what we usually like about P(UK). They give everyone a fair chance of getting into the evening usually - does seem pretty hard this year. Not sure whether to come or not.. not ever heard of the SHP judge?

Who wants to be travelling round the M25 on a Friday night?! Or maybe I should just miss the 7.30am class I've qualified for and only go for the one class in the afternoon... Probably too early to start worrying

Have noticed that the PUK WH winter qualifiers here up north have no entries in them ... think northern peeps are voting with their feet and giving the far away PUK Winter Champs 2012 a miss!

Bigmama - still see that PUK have described Addington Manor being 'Central'. Would take us 3 1/2 hours with no traffic from Cheshire! Think we'll be sticking to BSPS...

I was a bit disappointed that all our classes that we have qualified for are on one day - qualified for 3 classes so would mean doing 6 classes with the Lee-Smith - bit too much for one day on one pony, so now having qualified we wll have to pick and choose our classes!

We are not far from suziq77 and although Grantham is obviously further miles tbh the journey is better than trawling round the M25 to Addington on a Friday night, as much as I love Addington as a venue. BSPS Winter champs is the week after PUK this year and I think we will just need to see the schedule and decide which one as both will be out of the question.

After running winter qualifiers for flat and WH classes at our show to help out with qualifiers for our area particularly in working hunter for winter (vertually none prior to ours) Im disapointed they have done away with the Northern winter championship making it very expensive to travel to the one at addington. A very nice venue but just too far. We went last year and after a 7 hour drive we will not unfortunatly be repeating it this year...... i say bring back the sep ones thus making it more accessible for us up north to compete in a winter championship for P UK. The overall champions from the north or south shows have the choice wether they travel for the supremes at the alternative championships...

I am rejoining PUK next year but will not be making the long journey down to Addington just too far at the beginning of a long and expensive season
