What a shame there are no M&M Riddens. What show DOESN'T have them these days - they are the fastest-growing sector! Search for a Star still refuses to include them again too. Strange to see a show that has coloured classes and no M&Ms though!

M&m's do get olympia though so you cant complain to much!! Sure this new vision horse show wont have the same atmosphere as olympia by a long shot.

The organizers of the show have a backround in hunters, riding horses and cobs that is why the schedule is designed as it is. One excellent idea is that substitutions of all horses can be made up to 24hours before the show starts. There is a letter that explains the concept of the show and how it will run, this came out with the schedule.

Search for a star no longer has M&Ms as the very first final was won by a sec B and put a lot of noses out of joint and toys were thrown out of prams........... hence no M&ms

Mr Oliver was also made to look abit of a wally at the towerlands qualifier, he said he would never have a stallion in the final line up as they are not ridden animals......... The pony that stood in top three was a stallion and the rider pointed it out to him in the ring over the microphone for all to see and hear!!

If it is true search for a star won't include m&ms as the first one was won by one they are certainly being silly as this was probably the most successful 'star' they have ever found in the competition. Harwel Wizard went on to be hugely successful (and still is) and surely the aim of the competition is to find the best undiscovered talent whether it is in the form of a hunter, hack or show pony!

Don't really have a view on whether M&Ms should be in SFAS or not, but I would like to say that I believe the most successful star they found was Shelford Rupert, the heavyweight hunter. In fact he won the HW class today at Great Yorkshire. The other "find" was the cob, Stan the Man who went on to win HOYS as a HW cob.

I first heard about this show months and months ago (probably last year) in a local paper that was expelling the virtues of the re-vamped Hand stadium, it was going to be the West Country's answer to HOYS??!! But with a substantial amount of prize money in the pot, Hand was going to be used as there was ome talk it was going to be used for 2012 equine training and this show would be a good advertisement for the venue, until now nothing else had been heard about the show, it would seem however, that is going to be nothing like it was first advertised. Not at the Hand and no M+M's to name a few

Pathetic. So they clash with Royal London and forget about M+M's.........does not say much for the organisation!

I am sure that the New Vision show was never going to have M&Ms at the initial event. Can't understand why someone was told that they had "forgotten" them.
At the press launch they said they would love feedback on what people wanted included in 2008, so perhaps you should contact them and say that you want M&M classes. Although perhaps you should wait and see how the 2007 show goes first.
Can't see that it will be a major problem clashing with Royal London though. From what I can see, the qualifying classes for Royal London seem to be at shows that don't have RIHS/HOYS classes, and I suspect with the money on offer, that the contenders for the New Vision classes will be among the top horses in the country.
Not putting the Royal London Show down, as the quality there I am sure is very good and I believe it will fill a gap in the market. But I think it is more on a par with the PUK Summer Champs in terms of level of horse.
That, plus the fact that there can only be room for a maximum of 30 I would have thought in each of the New Vision classes (which you don't need to qualify for) I would imagine they will be well oversubscribed, and probably won't miss the horses entered for the Royal London Show.
The one thing with M&Ms, is that to do the classes properly, you seem to need many different sections. Perhaps that is why they had decided to give them a miss this year. And perhaps also, that the organisers themselves do not have any experience with the M&M classes, and therefore, for their first year, decided to stick with what they knew and understood?
