My pony has just had a bog spavin drained. She did it galloping around a hard field Vet advises that this procedure has a 50/50 chance of working. I say go for it as there are ponies with far worse faults winning at top level. All the best of luck

We have a cob mare with a bog spavin, we have shown her very successfully with it. As Lumpy said there are other animals out there with far worse faults. Our vet advised against draining as it could introduce infection and often the stetched fluid sack just fills up again.
Splintex has been recommended for bog spavins but we haven't tried it.

there is some stuff called ice tight - you put it in a bandage the apply bandage to an area, it reduces any lumps or swellings.
