I was think about putting my Basset Hound B***h in pup but i just wanted to no if they would sell easy as ( i don't mean this to sound horrible) I wouldn't want to have pups from her and not be able to sell / re-home them.
Could people let me no if this type of dog would be a breed they would consider and also what sort of price they would pay as i have never bred from dogs before.
Thank you

We bred our Bassett some years ago and the pups sold easily but everyone wanted Fred (dog) puppies and not the girls. With our other litters the girls always go first and you normally get left with the dogs but there are several Bassett litters in our local paper and some are trying to sell puppies for as little as £300 having started at £800 - could be the credit crunch and with all the bone Bassetts have you do need to do them really well.

I think you have a valid point there pipandflo. Perhaps not a good time to be breeding a litter. Maybe better to wait a bit and see how the credit squeeze goes.
