OK - looking for your suggestions on the nicest LR M&M section A bridle.
Plain reins? Plaited? Width of leather?
Fylde? Others?
Thanks Guys x

The Fylde M & M bridles are really lovely - and stay looking great for years. We have one for our petite 10'3" section A - and for our section B.
I think plain reins are fine for LR - but I also like the ones with the little leather "stops" along them for the jockeys to hold on to. Helps keep their rein length/hands level too. Plaited reins look lovely and offer extra grip but the extra cleaning involved is a pain!!

Fylde definitely! Peter&co are so helpful, either get notched reins or shoelace reins(and tie really tight knots in each rin for where the little jockey needs to hold) both are on the Fylde website under reins. I use notched reins on the bradoon of my double as a cheat.

Our ponies have gorgeous bridles from Heritage Saddlery (Matt Marlow). The Shetland size is perfect on standard Shets and Welsh As, and Matt made me a couple of special smaller ones for our minis. Had them a good few years now and despite being ill treated and neglected (the bridles, NOT our ponies!) they still come up beautifully given a few minutes attention. The leather is soft and supple - really beautifully made.

I got mine from Atlas Saddlery - they have a trade stand at a lot of big shows. They even ordered a smaller one for me and I picked it up at the next show I use the reins with stops for shows and laced reins at home. we did have a lovely small pair of dressage reins but the rubber started comong off this summer and Macnaughty - clothes will be posted today!!)

I also really like Fylde. At the other end of the scale price wise, I have just bought a Jammy Horse small pony bridle for my darty, it was £17.50 with plain reins, and whilst it is not English leather the quality for the price is pretty d**ned good for someone looking for something on a budget or just one to use at home to keep their good one nice.
