hi, i need some advice. we have two cats, one a 5yo bengal and one normal 3yo cat. we are having problems with our 3yo. They are both housecats.
Last night the bengal escaped into nextdoors garden, luckily we found her. This morning the 3yo has been acting very bizarre, normally she is loving and friendly and playful with the bengal and dogs, but today we found her fighting with the bengal, and every time we try to go by her she is hissing and trying to scratch us and the other animals. Every time the bengal or jack russell go by her shes doing a strange belly growl, this noise is hard to explain, we have never heard her do it before. Moms managed to check her over and she is not injured and is walking, running and jumping fine.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this, because we want our loving, cuddly fluffball back!
Moms thinking vets tomorrow if still being as nasty.
All advice welcome

Ok... deffinetly give Feliway a go...
My sister has two cats, one abysinnian and a Siamese, they've always had mild scraps (like your's both indoor cats) and fights/growling at each other, but recently this got worse.... got her some Feliway and what a difference... her Abysinnian who never comes to you or speaks to you, now does.. they are now relaxed and the scraps/growling have all but stopped.
Feliway is a fake pheromone that cats use.. the one where they rub thier faces against objects etc, it also helps to make them feel comfortable in their surroundings and with each other. Because Abys is now more relaxed his asthma isn't so bad either.

Bengals are very vocal. They tell you everything by the noises they make. Feliway - doesnt work on my bengal. I do find Catnip works very well with her. Good luck xxxx

Never had Bengals but have kept Siamese and moggies - if they are both house cats and the Bengal has escaped it could be one of two things in my humble opinion - either she has come into contact with something or someone whos scent your mog doesnt like and she feels threatened by it being on the Bengal or the other thought I had is if the Bengal was the dominant cat and she got out (albeit a short time) then if the mog is number two she has upped the ante and is going for top cat - hence the aggression to assert her dominance. And just as a throw away comment (always works for mine) a tin of tuna normally puts the world to rights!

Feliway doesn't work with every cat just as DAP doesn't work with every dog, but still worth a try Cat nip is a drug and winds them up possibly lightens the mood too and encourages play or in my Salem's case.... turns him into a Killer Kitty lol
